Lawmakers chant slogans against Indian forces which had spread panic in Kashmir through a curfew

LAHORE: Lawmakers from both the treasury and opposition benches observed a black day and strongly condemned Indian aggression in occupied Kashmir.

“Kashmir is a part of Pakistan and Kashmiris will not think twice before laying down their lives for independence.” the lawmaker vowed.

A group of women workers, led by PML-N MPA Rabia Naseem Farooqi, protested by wearing black clothes in front of the Lahore Press Club.

They chanted slogans against Indian forces which had spread panic in Kashmir through a curfew. The MPA said it was regrettable that Kashmirs were not allowed to pursue their religious obligations.

She said India’s ambitions of getting Kashmir would be foiled. The PML-N leader said the Pakistan Army would provide a befitting response if India attacks Kashmir.

Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decision to observe Indian Independence Day as a black day is a praiseworthy action. He said it would help create awareness among the global community of Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. He said the whole of Pakistan had expressed complete solidarity with Kashmiris. He maintained that the UN Security Council taking notice of the situation was a key achievement of the Pakistan government.
