Export Processing Zones Authority: Business grows 38% in fiscal 2011

Exports increased 38 per cent to $568 million in financial year 2011 compared with the preceding year’s $411 million

KARACHI: Exports increased 38 per cent to $568 million in financial year 2011 compared with the preceding year’s $411 million for the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA), according to a statement. The authority is determined that it will achieve the target of $1 billion worth of exports by 2015. This significant growth in exports reflects the confidence of the investors in EPZA and its policies, adds the release. It also indicates that EPZA is doing well to fulfil its mandate for enhancement in exports.
