Traders want commissioner to head HDA
Chamber's president suggests forming a coordination committee for rain and emergency situations
HYDERABAD:
The Hyderabad Chamber of Small Trade and Industry has requested the Sindh chief minister to appoint Hyderabad division commissioner as Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) chairperson because the poor performance of HDA officials submerged Hyderabad after recent rainfall. The chamber's president, in a letter to the CM, also suggested forming a coordination committee for rain and emergency situations. The committee should be headed by the commissioner and comprise the officials of HDA, Water and Sanitation Agency, Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority, Sindh Environmental Protection Agency, police and representatives of the business community as its members.
