ISLAMABAD: People are facing severe shortage of water in Islamabad Sector G-13, which is under the supervision of the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF).

The residents of the sector are at the mercy of people selling water through tanker trucks to fulfil their water requirements.

Moreover the sector residents are buying tankers of water from tanker mafia at huge prices from Rs1,500 to Rs2,500. The subsidised tankers of CDA provide water once a week. The sector residents say they are facing problems of schools, distorted roads, electricity shortage, unavailability of parks, unavailability of cleanness facilities and zero dispensaries, and now this water scarcity problem is an added peril.
