LAHORE: Lahore Division Commissioner Asif Bilal Lodhi said that all temporary sacrificial animal markets for Eidul Azha will be established and fully operational by August 2. He stated that seven sale points, including Shahpur Kanjran cattle market, will be established in different areas around Lahore. He visited different makeshift sacrificial animal markets on Monday in different areas of the provincial capital to check arrangements under way. He directed officials concerned to make sufficient arrangements for drinking water for animals and for there to be sufficient lighting at all markets. He also ordered that security be ensured at markets to avoid any untoward incident. He maintained that the livestock department was organising medical camps at all sale points to spray down animals for ticks.
