Suspects booked for poisoning son-in-law

Victim ingests food and shortly after complains about abdominal pain

RAWALPINDI: Suspects have been booked for poisoning their son in law’s food in the remits of Chuntra Police Station. The victim breathed his last in a hospital in Rawalpindi, according to the first information report (FIR).

The complainant, victim’s father Ameer Zaman stated in a written application that Muhammad Zubair a security guard aged 28 years was married and had a son who is now a year old.

After a conflict, the victim’s wife moved back into her parents’ house, after which the victim, who wanted to meet his son, went to his in-laws’ house, where he ended up ingesting food that later turned out to be poisonous. The victim went home, and shortly after complaining about abdominal pains, he passed away.

In this regard suspects have been booked, including the deceased’s father in law, brothers in law and mother in law, and registered an FIR against them.
