ANF submits a challan in court against PMLN Punjab President Rana Sanaullah for smuggling 15 kilograms of heroin

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) submitted a challan in court against Pakistan Muslim League Punjab President Rana Sanaullah for allegedly involved smuggling 15 kilograms of heroin.

ANF officials submitted the challan before an anti-narcotics court as the judge concerned was on summer vacations.

Sanaullah had first been sent on a 14-day judicial remand. The remand was later extended for another 14 days. The then magistrate ordered ANF officials to produce him before the court by July 29 with further orders to submit the challan.

The ANF registered an FIR against Rana Sanaullah, Muhammad Akram, Sibtain Haider, Usman Ahmed, Asim Rustam, and Umar Farooq.

As per the FIR registered by the ANF Operations deputy director on July 1, under sections 186, 189, and 353 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), as well as sections 15, 17 of 9C of the CNSA 1997, ANF received information that Rana Sanaullah was involved in drug smuggling and he was taking heroin to Lahore.

The ANF formed a raiding team consisting of 21 of its officials. They reached the motorway at Ravi Toll Plaza and intercepted two vehicles.
