DC summons dengue progress report

Meeting will discuss recommendations on steps to improve anti-dengue measures during monsoon season

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has summoned a weekly progress report from all participating departments in the anti-dengue campaign. The meeting of District Emergency Response Committee (DERC) on Tuesday would be attended by assistant commissioners (ACs), officials from health and other related departments. The DC has directed all related departments to present a performance report on anti-dengue measures taken between July 16 to July 22. The committee would review the number of dengue patients reported and confirmed indoor and outdoor surveillance and dengue hot-spots in detail.  The meeting would also discuss recommendations on steps to improve anti-dengue measures during monsoon season. Meanwhile, 545 teams inspected more than a hundred thousand spots during the indoor and outdoor surveillance campaign in different parts of the city during the last week.
