During the current season, transporters are charging as much as Rs6,000 for a trip to Murree, Rs7,000 for Ayubia, Rs8,000 for Abbottabad and Swat and Rs500 just to get to the federal capital from the station.

Moreover, they accused the transporters of alleged collusion with hotel owners in Murree, Swat and Abbottabad, claiming that transporters specifically take families to selected hotels only to earn a commission. They demanded that transport services from railway stations to these areas should be made open for everyone and not just for specific few private transporters.
