Cricket: Kaneria seeks clearance

KARACHI:
Leg-spinner Danish Kaneria has filed a petition in the Sindh High Court and a hearing on the case will be held on Monday. Seeking to revive his international career, Kaneria filed the petition against the Pakistan Cricket Board’s refusal to clear him to play for the country. “I’ve provided all the sought documents but I wasn’t left with any other choice than to seek justice in court,” he said. Kaneria’s lawyer Farogh Naseem added, “The county and Essex police have cleared Kaneria. Why is the PCB not clearing him. It’s up to the board to select a player, we’re just seeking clearance.”
