Road to Makkah Project is a supreme demonstration of Pak-Saudi relations and brotherhood. Clerics and leading scholars from different religious organisations underlined that Hajj is a supreme testimony and demonstration of Muslim unity.

Ulema and leading clerics of different religious organisations said this while addressing the 'Unity of Ummah Conference' held on Thursday organised by the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Islamabad Chapter. They stated that Hajj-e-Baitullah is supreme evidence of the unity and oneness shared by Muslims. Pilgrims from all over the Islamic world on the eve of Hajj should stay away from any sort of political processions and sloganeering.

The clerics at the conference also announced they will ensure the protection of seminaries and mosques. Moreover, scholars stated that Muslims all over the world should play their role to resolve the challenges confronting the Muslim Ummah.  They will not tolerate tyranny and oppression against Muslims in Kashmir and Palestine.

On the request of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman has included Pakistan in Road to Makkah Project to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims. From next year, the Road to Makkah Project facilities relating to immigration will start from airports all over Pakistan to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims. The project commenced at Islamabad International Airport.
