Kangana Ranaut refuses to apologise to journalist amid media boycott

Published: July 11, 2019

Kangana Ranaut has created a new controversy by getting into a row with a journalist during a song launch from her upcoming film, Judgementall Hai Kya. Following the incident, senior media personnel protested against the Queen star under the Entertainment Journalist Guild of India. They demanded an apology from Kangana in lieu of her rude and unacceptable behaviour.

Soon after, the starlet’s sister Rangoli Chandel revealed that Kangana will not ask for forgiveness under any circumstances and will set the media straight. When matters worsened, producer Ekta Kapoor was called in for a meeting after which she issued a public apology on behalf of Kangana. However, there was no sign of an apology from the star herself.

Now, Kangana has posted a video on her official Instagram account calling out to all reporters whose point of views do not match with hers on the topic of nationalism. She alleged that the media is paid to write and is not critical or impartial.

She also named journalist Justin Rao in her fiery address, who she had the tussle with. Kangana signed off by saying that she urges the media to ban her because she does not want them to earn their bread at her expense.
