LAHORE: A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) woman lawmaker has sought a debate in the Punjab Assembly (PA) over the conduct of Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid for allegedly using money of national exchequer on her own non-governmental organisation (NGO).

Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Rahila Khadim submitted an adjournment motion in PA’s secretariat contending those who claimed to establish the Riyasat-e-Madina model are deceivingly spending state funds on personal matters.

She added that media reports have revealed the provincial health minister is the patron-in-chief of Thalassemia Society of Pakistan and Alzheimer Society of Pakistan and the amount was issued to said NGO from national exchequer.
