Missing Persons: Baloch activist Lango found dead

Law-enforcers found the body in an abandoned hotel near Lakbado area.

The body of political activist Mir Ghaffar Lango, who was listed as missing from Karachi around two years ago, was found near Gadani on Friday.

According to SHO Amir Abdullah at Gadani police, law-enforcers found the body in an abandoned hotel near Lakbado area. “The body bore multiple marks of torture. The cause of death is said to be a severe wound in the head caused by a hard and blunt object,” he said.

Lango’s family, who had been protesting for two years, blame security agencies for the killing. He was whisked away in December 2009 from Karachi.

Lango was affiliated with Baloch Haq-i-Tawar, (voice of Baloch rights), a debating forum formed by Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri.

Agencies should go all the way not to kill a single innocent Baloch....as they are our brothers but those who are traitors should not be spared

Uzair | 13 years ago | Reply This is becoming a norm sadly - we all know who the people responsible for the deaths in balochistan are but nobody speaks out against them for obvious reasons but this has to change, the people responsible have to change they're feudal mind set now - the country has a free and vibrant media so these people may run but they certainly cant hide any longer.......... not even in Aabpara!
