Three young men of the Kori community were killed en route to a local court where they were to appear in the murder case of two men of Loond community.
According to the police, the slain young men Jalal Kori, Qabool Ahmed Kori and Ghanho Kori left village Ismail Kori in the morning to attend the court hearing in Ubauro Taluka. However, they were intercepted en route by over 10 armed men near the bridge on Rainy canal.
The assailants beat the three men before shooting them all to death. The dead bodies were later dragged on the road and thrown in a ditch along the canal. The attackers escaped while firing gunshots in the air. The police shifted the dead bodies to the local hospital after around two hours of the incident, according to the local people.
The relatives of the slain men blocked the National Highway near the Sindh-Punjab border by staging a sit-in protest which lasted for over three hours. The protesters dispersed only after the police assured them that the people from the Loond community will be arrested.

Yaqoob Kori, a relative, told the local media that a girl of their community married a man of Loond community without the consent of her parents two and a half years ago. However, the Kori community involved influential local persons and the girl was returned to the family.
However, he claimed, that her divorced husband Karam Loond frequently used to visit their village Ismail Kori which eventually resulted in a clash in which Karam and his friend Ashraf Loond were killed. The men of Kori community were booked for their murder. Abdul Majeed Kori, Qurban Ali Kori and other relatives complained to the media that the police have failed to arrest the suspects despite their assurance.
