Two policemen escape death after being shot at by unidentified suspects in a car

RAWALPINDI: A man assaulted his wife’s sister with help of his siblings.

According to Ratta Amral Police, Gulshan Bibi informed them that her brother-in-law Humair Afzal was married to her younger sister Saima.

Humair had borrowed Rs185,000 from her and was making rounds to her house demanding more money. This week, Humair came along with his brother Zohaib and sister Nousheen Bibi and started quarreling with the victim.

As the situation intensified, Nousheen held the victim’s collar while Zohaib slapped her and tore her clothes. Zohaib placed his pistol on her head and the siblings started searching her house. The suspects fled with Rs0.7 million cash, jewelry etc after locking victim inside the house. The police have registered a case and initiated the investigation.

Injured policemen

Two policemen of Muhafiz Force narrowly escaped death after they were targeted by unidentified suspects in a car.

According to the police spokesperson, the Muhafiz Force signaled a suspected car to stop after which the occupants of the car opened fire at the police. Owing to this, two policemen got severely injured and shifted to the Holy Family Hospital for treatment, he said.

Police arrest five accused of allegedly assaulting female domestic worker

As the information spread, the DSP City visited the victims.  The police said that the search for vehicle was underway.

Robberies in the garrison city

The residents of Rawalpindi fell prey to criminal activities in different incidents.

Muhammad Abrar’s motorcycle was stolen by three unidentified suspects on gunpoint in New Town area. Similarly, Muhammad Shafiq said that Muhammad Ramzan, who was his servant for last two years, stole Rs9.8 million in cash and 15-16 tola silver jewelry from his house in his presence in the same vicinity.

Moreover, Wazirul Hasan told Banni Police that four unidentified suspects broke into his general store and robbed around Rs80,000 from the cash counter on gun point. Furthermore, the robbers broke the door locks of Jameel Khan’s house in the precinct of Rawat Police Station and stole equipment worth Rs50,000 in his presence.

Babar Shehzad told Sadiqabad Police that the suspect, Babar Shehzad, purchased animal feed worth Rs3.3 million from his company and handed over a bogus cheque.
