KARACHI: Police on Saturday arrested a gang of five accused — including three women —named in a first information report (FIR) for allegedly sexually assaulting a female domestic worker, Express News reported.

The report was filed at the Darakshan Police Station in Karachi after the 14-year-old domestic help managed to escape from her employer's residence.

The survivor, in a statement recorded with the police, named those who were involved in the incident.

"The two women — involved in the crime — sought permission from my parents for me to be employed at a private residence as domestic help a few months ago," she stated.

"The two ladies, Anam and Safia, were accompanied by a man named Israr," the girl said.

"They also took me to an apartment located at Nishat Commercial where others accompanying the three accused were present," she said while continuing to narrate her ordeal.

The three accused drugged her, after which they abused her.

The police report also named other suspects who were involved in drugging the female worker.
