On Fire: Man burns himself outside DCO office

FAISALABAD: A father of four children sprinkled petrol on himself and lit a fire in front of hundreds on Friday. According to eyewitnesses, Barkatpura resident Sultan Mehmood protested in front of the district coordination officer (DCOs) office for hours and then set himself on fire. Mehmood told locals that he was starving and had recently been laid off his job. Mehmood also recently lost his property in a dispute with his three brothers and implicated his brother Nawaz for being responsible for his death. He said he was unable to feed his children and tried to kill himself. He was shifted to Allied Hospital but doctors have said he is unlikely to survive.
