A mega scandal involving a high-profile personality which could affect the political landscape of the country may surface soon, former president Asif Ali Zardari has claimed.

The PPP co-chairperson, who is in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau facing graft charges in the fake bank accounts case, made the 'revelation' during an informal media talk outside the accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday.

“Investigation is under way against a high-profile personality in the UK and USA,” he said, without identifying the suspect, reported Express News.

Condemning the arrest of senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah on drug possession charges, Zardari said he had been framed in the similar charges in the past on the basis of political victimisation, and it took him five years to prove his innocence.

Commenting about his recent interview on a private news channel which went off-air, Zardari said he was censored as he had a lot to tell.

Asked if he came across PM Imran Khan's recent speech in the National Assembly, the PPP leader said he did not have time to listen to "fools".
