Pakistani-Turkish couple ties knot in Ankara

ANKARA: A Pakistani groom and Turkish bride got married on Friday bringing the two cultures together.

Syed Shahnab Ali Gilani, son of principal of the Pakistan Embassy School in capital Ankara, and Gulay Ozdemir got married with a well-attended wedding ceremony from both sides.



The couple entered the hall with loud applause from the guests, who enjoyed the glimpses of Pakistani and Turkish culture during the ceremony.

Gilani, 31, wore traditional Pakistani clothes, while Ozdemir, 26, wore modern Turkish style wedding gown.

Pakistani Ambassador to Turkey Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi was also among the guests.
