The amount was approved in a meeting chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf with the agenda being presented by UAF Treasurer Tariq Saeed.
The meeting approved the non-development budget of Rs4.87 billion. The vice chancellor said efforts are afoot to make the university among the top 500 such institutes in the world. “The university was mulling a comprehensive plan to increase income from its own resources with the help of commercialised products in the agricultural and food sector.
“The Endowment Fund’s investment will be strengthened for research projects and commercialization based on innovative ideas.
