People of Chaklala Scheme III have expressed indignation at heaps of garbage in their posh locality.
The Chaklala Cantonment Board staff instead of lifting the garbage sets it on fire, though it cannot disapper in smoke, they said talking to The Express Tribune.
Heaps of garbage lying on the corners of the streets next to the graveyard in the posh area of Chaklala Scheme III in CCB have become a source of torture for the citizens, said residents Haji Ibrahim, Muhammad Naveed, Shah Mehmood, Asghar Janjua during a survey of the area.
They demanded from the station commander to take notice and dispose the garbage by picking it up instead of putting it on fire.
The cantonment board staff dispenses its responsibilities by setting fire to trash instead of removing it. Smouldering trash spreads toxic fumes and spreads pungent smell all over the area, they said.
