‘UVAS among top 200 universities’

Ranked top fifth in the country

LAHORE: The scientists of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) are executing 141 research projects worth Rs1.5 billion, won from national and international funding agencies.

In sports, the varsity achieved third position among public sector universities and fifth position in all public and private varsities of country. UVAS was also recently included in the top 200 universities of the world. UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Talat Naseer Pasha said with a history of 136 years of excellence, the university has achieved a position among the top Asian universities. He said UVAS was also among the top 10 universities of the country, according to the HEC overall ranking. Pasha said UVAS had already secured an affiliation from the Association of American Veterinary Medical College.

He said the university was also executing five development projects worth Rs4 billion and completed projects worth Rs882 million in the previous financial year.
