Three people injured in parking dispute

Irshad told police that his brother, his cousin had two hotels adjacent to each other in Liaquat Bagh Chowk

RAWALPINDI: Three people were critically injured in a parking dispute outside a hotel.

Muhammad Irshad told Waris Khan police that his brother and his cousin, Shehzad had two hotels adjacent to each other in Liaquat Bagh Chowk. He said that Shehzad parked his car outside the Al-Hateem hotel and went inside his own hotel for some work. As he returned, he saw that somebody had deflated his car’s tires. He inquired about this from Al-Hateem hotel owners who started misbehaving with him. However, the quarrel was resolved immediately.

Later, they were passing in front of Al-Hateem hotel where the suspects Ali Abbasi, Haroon Abbasi, Adeel Abbasi and others started abusing them after which his sons, Aftab and Usman, reached there as well. As the situation intensified, Adeel attacked Usman with a bar and injured him. Meanwhile, an armed suspect, Waheed Akhtar, came out from the hotel and handed over a pistol to his son, Ali, and told him to kill the opponents. At this, Ali started firing which critically injured Aftab and Usman.

The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
