HBO has submitted the much maligned final episodes of the heavily criticised final season of Game of Thrones for Emmy consideration.

TV Guide reported that the last season's only acclaimed episodes - Winterfell and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - have been completely overlooked in the writing and directing categories’ in favour of the worst-rated episodes of the show’s history.
