This was discussed during a meeting with provincial law minister Raja Basharat.
“The law enforcement agencies should remain vigilant and additional police should be deputed in markets and shopping centres. Senior police officers should also remain available in the field to monitor security arrangements,” he added.
He said foolproof security of Eidul Fitr congregations should be ensured as well as implementation of the devised security plan.
The chief minister also ordered the best cleanliness arrangements for cities and towns on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
He added the action plan devised for cleanliness should be fully implemented.
He said a neat and clean environment on Eid would rejuvenate the joys of citizens. Line departments would have to play their active role to keep the cities neat and clean, he added.
He said locals would be facilitated through the best cleanliness arrangements, but people should also realise their responsibility with regards to keeping the environment neat and clean.
He said line departments should also be vigilant when it comes to the cleanliness of small cities. He added the safety of swings at parks and other recreational places should be checked and ensured at all costs.
“Some tragic incidents of swings collapsing had occurred in the past.
Prior planning should, therefore, be made to stop such incidents in future and the administration should give particular attention to the safety of the swings.
The administration should ensure the implementation of the devised safety plan before permitting swings to function, the chief minister concluded.
Meanwhile, Buzdar also ordered action against transporters involved in overcharging citizens. He ordered the authorities concerned to take strict notice of the complaints of passengers about overcharging.
