Both the pilots remained safe

HYDERABAD: A Cessna 172 aircraft, being flown by two trainee pilots of Pakistan International Airlines, averted an accident after the pilots managed to land the plane in emergency on a coastal plain in Keti Bunder area of Thatta district on Friday. The plane had developed a technical fault in the engine during the flight which necessitated the emergency landing. Both the pilots remained safe. The plane took off from Karachi at around 9am and it made the landing in Keti Bunder around 9:40am.
