The Beauty Edit: Festive looks to try this Eid

Make-up trends to sport this festive season

June 03, 2019

This Eid we ask some of our favourite make-up gurus to tell us about the make-up fads trending this festive season

Hifsa Khan

Hifsa Khan suggests this Eid, pastels will reign supreme. Barely there make-up with light coverage foundation or a tinted moisturiser coupled with a pastel or coral lip will be perfect for the season. Glossy lips or lipsticks with satin finish and a subtle shimmery eye shadow are one of the popular looks to go for.

Bina Khan

Bina Khan recommends going easy on the highlighter, while maintaining a pretty glow with a touch of rose gold on the inner corners of the eyes and across the bridge of the nose. She particularly admires the milky coral lip and cheek, and believes it looks lovely in the sun. Mix a dash of concealer with your coral lipstick and dab on your cheeks and lips to achieve the perfect summer rouge.

Hira Khan

Hira Khan believes this summer it’s all about monochromatic pinks and corals. One can never go wrong with a monochromatic pink or coral look as it is soft, fresh, brings out the eye colour and is flattering on every skin tone. For the eyes, use Mac Cosmetics’ Cherry Topped eye shadow and Dior Pump n Volume Mascara to make those lashes pop. Give the cheeks a rosy tint with NARS Orgasm Blush and finish off the look with Laguna Beach by Ofra cosmetics for the lip.

Saba Malik

Saba Malik believes that dewy glass finished skin, contoured features and pretty peaches are the make-up trends to follow this season. Go for Huda Beauty foundation to achieve full coverage and create a subtle cut crease look using Too Faced Peach. Blush up the cheeks with Cheekleader Pink Squad blush palette by Benefit and top off the look with a peach lipstick.
