Pakistan sees a busy week on diplomatic landscape

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will set off for Jeddah today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is expected to see an extremely busy week on its diplomatic landscape as Chinese Vice-President Wang Qishan’s visit will last until May 28 while Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Elyor Ganiev will arrive here on a two-day visit on May 27 (today).

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will set off for Jeddah on May 27 (today) to participate in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers’ meeting scheduled for May 28.

Pakistan’s highest civil honour conferred on Chinese vice president

According to sources within diplomacy, Afghanistan’s advisor for national security will reach Pakistan on May 28. The advisor will hold an important meeting with high officials to discuss key issues spanning Pak-Afghan security.

On May 28, OIC’s contact group for Kashmir will hold an important session in Jeddah. A high-level delegation from Pakistan will participate in the Kashmir Contact Group meeting.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will set off for Jeddah on May 30. The premier will participate in the heads of states’ meeting of the OIC on May 31 and will deliver his address.
