RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs from Islamabad International Airport (IIA) on a tip-off.

The ANF received information that a passenger was trying to smuggle drugs in a unique way after which the department turned a vigilant eye on every passenger during checking of flights.

Later, the forces checked a passenger, Waseem, who hailed from Kohat and was going to Jeddah in a private flight, and recovered around one-kilogramme heroine concealed in artificial apples. The ANF arrested the suspect and started investigation.
