QUETTA: Emphasising the importance of across-the-board accountability, the newly-appointed director general of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan, Farman Ullah took over his duties on Wednesday.

“NAB believes in across the board accountability,” he said while addressing the officers at the bureau and urged them to maintain integrity and proceed with cases as per law.

He also reiterated NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal’s commitment to impartial accountability and recovery of looted national wealth.

It merits mentioning here that Farman Ullah joined NAB in 2003 and served the bureau in key posts at its headquarters as well as major cities including Rawalpindi and Karachi. He also served as the director general of the bureau in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in 2018-19.

With over 15 years of experience with the anti-corruption watchdog, he has headed various investigation wings. Besides, investigation teams under his supervision successfully completed various important cases, involving huge amounts of looted national wealth.
