Actors extend support to Hania Aamir while accepting their insecurities

Hania Aamir's recent post about her struggle with acne and anxiety garnered a mixed response from her industry counterparts.

While Yasir Hussain made a mockery out of the whole situation, stars such as Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Nadia Hussain and Fia Khan lauded the Janaan star for her courage.



All actresses took to social media to share their own fight with imperfect skin and it's high time we shattered the myth surrounding 'perfect beauty standards' too.

After giving a befitting response to Yasir's insensitive comment, Mahira was the first celeb to praise Hania.

"I’m not laughing either. Nobody is! Hania Aamir thank you and proud of you for showing courage as well as grace," she wrote.

Following this, Mehwish took to Instagram to shed light on her own skin problems.

"Flawsome is awesome. Away from the studio lights, the cameras and the glamorous make up, we all battle with the same skin problems and insecurities as any other girl. Let's embrace it - its called being a woman," she captioned the picture.

Fia, too, welcomed her 'flaws' wholeheartedly.

Supermodel Nadia re-shared a year old image of herself wearing no makeup or filters and captioned it, "It's been one full year since I posted this picture. Now I'm so happy to see other celebrities embrace their real self in unedited pics being proud of being flawsome and awesome."

“Being a celebrity does not mean perfection,” Hania recently wrote in a long post on Instagram, opening up about her long struggle with acne. “I always had these bumps on my forehead that would just not budge! I had gotten used to them,” she confessed.
