WhatsApp has announced that it will stop working on certain handsets by the end of the year as it plans to halt the active development of software for certain cell phone models.

WhatsApp makes changes to group chat

The phones list includes all Windows phones, Android versions 2.3.7 and older software. The most shocking on that list is the iPhone iOS 7 on which WhatsApp will stop functioning starting February 1, 2020.

WhatsApp co-founder asks users to delete Facebook

Previously, the company announced that it would stop offering Nokia S60, BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 as it continues to grow and wanted to focus more of its efforts on platforms that had a vast majority of users.
