Commodities prices rise at utility stores

Prices of edibles shot up at utility stores across the country after the store managements issued an official notification.

KARACHI: Prices of edibles shot up at utility stores across the country after the store managements issued an official notification.

Ninety-six commodities have seen an increase in prices while 58 have been marked down. The price for 10 kilograms of ghee has increased by Rs148 while bottled water by Rs5.

There has been a 5-10 per cent price hike in several other commodities as well including washing powder. The price of sugar, nonetheless, is fixed at Rs45 per kilogram.
