RAWALPINDI: With domestic and foreign tourism on a steady rise in recent years, one tourist-oriented service is eyeing a bonanza in the upcoming summer tourist season.

Mohsin Fazal, the manager of the Patriata chairlift, says that Patirata has become a tourist attraction. As a consequence, his annual earnings have increased remarkably.

He said that around 600,000 visitors came to the hill station — often dubbed as the new Murree — every year which proves a boon for his business. He added that they were working on enhancing facilities available for tourists there.

Talking about the chairlift, he said that, the cable car and chairlift system will remain operational until Ramazan 10. After a break for the holy month and for some repairs and upgrades, he said that it will resume from the second day of Eidul Fitr when he expects a massive tourist influx.
