Model Rabia Butt has responded to the trolls who have been commenting on  her 'objectionable' pictures that are doing rounds on social media.

Apparently some fan also said that Rabia's pictures are a cause of spoiling people's roza. In reply to which she tweeted:

It seems like the needless criticism and public commentary didn't stop with her  bold and courageous tweet so the model-turned-actor released a short video explaining her side of the story in detail.

"I’m very much aware of this fact that one shouldn’t explain anything to anyone but when it comes to love, to people who love you and respect you then it’s your prime responsibility to not to disappoint them and to let them know the facts," she shared.

In a Twitter video, Butt shared, "I've seen some of my pictures circulating on social media. I can't understand the problem."

She added, "I have never claimed that I'm a very religious person or a firm believer. Or enlighten me if I have ever asserted anything of the sort? One thing I have avowed is that I learn from my mistakes."

Butt continued, "Our Lord is so gracious. He's not the one who points out the mistakes of his creation but guides them towards a better way. It is us humans who  keep reminding others of their flaws."

She told her followers not avoid needless moral policing.

"I've repeatedly said this before that I was a completely different person before my mother's death. But after it, I realised that I have to bear all the responsibilities of my family, my three younger sisters. That thought alone has made me let go of a lot of things," she said. "Why, you might ask? Because a Muslim can do wrong, so can a human. But a mom can never do anything wrong."

She went on, "I would never want to be embarrassed in front of the Almighty or my sisters."

Butt further commented that she's be open to having a conversation regarding any aspect of her present life.

"My past is my past, I can't change it. You can point fingers at me over something that is current and not old," concluded the model.

Tariq | 5 years ago | Reply Kudos, Rabia! How graceful! Be strong! May Allah give a high place in Janah to your dear mother! May those who hurt your feeling think well, and be reminded of Hazrat Omar's past! Lots of love to your sisters! Hanstay Raho!
JAG | 5 years ago | Reply Obviously, unsolicited comments/remarks about a person's religiosity is unacceptable. However, when one becomes a public figure, they should be used to receiving a lot of acclaim and a bit of criticism too. Otherwise, keep your presence and profile on a down-low.
