QUETTA: Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Tahira Safdar has said the bar and benches have major responsibilities for the supremacy of law and providing quick justice.

She shared these views while inaugurating the high court’s rest house in the port city of Gwadar where she also visited the session court Gwadar and held meeting with the lawyers’ community.

“The high court and all district courts need to play an effective role for ensuring a speedy justice system in the province,” said Justice Safdar adding it is the responsibility of the judiciary to maintain the provision of justice in society.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, Justice Zaheer uddin Kakar, Registrar BHC Rozi Khan Barrech, Inspection Judge BHC Abdul Qayoum Lehri, Session Judge Gwadar Tahir Hamayun and other members of the lawyers’ community along with district officials were present at the inauguration ceremony.

CJ BHC Justice Safdar also received guard of honour at the session court where President Gwadar Bar Asif Raheem Advocate presented laudatory address to the chief justice.

“High court of Balochistan and district courts have major responsibilities to ensure quick justice and relief to the masses in Balochistan,” said CJ Safdar said while addressing the lawyers.

She also assured to address the issues of the local bar and stressed upon the lawyers to carry on their efforts for supremacy of law.
