The Pakistan Army on Saturday established a free medical treatment camp in Gishkor and Kooli areas of Balochistan's Awaran district.
A statement released by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that specialists including lady doctors are providing healthcare to over 3,500 patients including women and children.
The press release added that the medical camp performed 100 eye surgeries along with various diagnostic procedures including ECG, ultrasound and hepatitis screening.
The camps also supplied ration packs among 150 families.
Established on the directives on the Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the treatment facility is a source of much-needed healthcare for the local population. Similar medical care stations have been set up in Kharran, Gulistan, Badini, Shahraig, Naushki, Naseerabad, Chaman and Ziarat, said the army's media wing.
The military's outreach programme is aimed at establishing healthcare services for the population in far-flung areas of Balochistan.
