Aamir Liaquat to play freedom fighter Burhan Wani in upcoming film

Film is said to be directed by Ayub Khosa

TV host Aamir Liaquat Hussain says he will play Burhan Wani in an upcoming film directed by Ayub Khosa.

A renowned director and actor, Khosa is all set to make a film revolving around Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the film-maker has roped in Hussain for the lead role.

Speaking at a morning show of a private TV channel, Khosa said that the film will highlight the Kashmir issue and will be shot in at the same place. The director did not share more details. "I am hopeful that my co-workers in the industry will definitely support me," he said.

The TV host, however, spilled beans on the upcoming project, saying it will focus on the life of the freedom fighter. "I do not consider myself a hero but Burhan Wani was definitely the hero for the Kashmiris," he shared.
