aamir ilyas | 12 years ago | Reply why are our people so obsessed with islamic symbolism? everywhere you look religious extremists are shoving religion down our throats,we have huge billboards with lines written in a foreign language ( and yes, arabic is a foreign language),we have the govt. wasting taxpayer money on inscribing islamic symbols on bus stands wasting crores of rupees which could have been spent on the poor instead. This mentality of ours of linking 'goodness' with being religious has led us nowhere. You don't have to be a religious person to be a good person.on the contrary religious people are the most bigoted, intolerant, homophobic, women oppressive cavemen you'll ever find. Religion infact robs a person's ability to think rationally and in a sane manner.
