LAHORE: Demanding the fact sheet on the government’s anti-encroachment drive, PML-N Central Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has inquired if Prime Minister Imran Khan's ‘illegal occupation of Bani Gala land’ had been regularized.

During the National Assembly’s Question and Answer session, Marriyum obtained permission from the Speaker for a supplementary question and said that the government had announced an arbitrary anti-encroachment operation the start and end times of which had not been specified. She then demanded a detailed report on the operation including its results and expenses.

The former information minister also asked Parliamentary Affairs Minister Muhammad Khan if Prime Minister Imran Khan's ‘proven encroachment of land in Bani Gala’ had been regularised which she alleged was the real objective of the operation.

Muhammad Khan replied that the Pakistani people loved Imran, an answer which triggered jeers, taunts and hooting by the opposition.

The parliamentary affairs minister then said that the query would be answered when it is submitted as a separate question.
