KARACHI: A doctor, allegedly affiliated with Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LJ), was gunned down by unidentified armed men at the Hussain Health Clinic in Orangi Town, within the limits of Mominabad police station, on Monday.

Dr Babar Mannan, 35, was treating a patient when two men on a motorcycle approached the doctor and opened fire at him. Mannan received two bullet wounds from a 9-millimetre pistol, after which he was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he died during treatment. Police sources alleged that the doctor was a member of LJ, but had recently joined the Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan.
