KARACHI:
The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) arranged a certificate distribution ceremony for the participants of their student summer session volunteer programme on Friday. Some of the volunteers shared their experiences and said the programme helped them learn the skills and values of civic participation. Ali Muntazir, one of the programme coordinators, said, “What we learned has been deeply ingrained in our ethic of service and responsibility.” The SIUT voluntary service provides an opportunity for the youth to explore healthcare career options by learning new skills and understanding the importance of social work. The volunteer service is open to matric, O and A level students. At the end of the programme, the chief guest, Justice Haziq- ul-Khairi, distributed certificates among the volunteers.
