CDGK: Party flags, banners banned for a month

Ban imposed by Home Department under CrPC 144 for a period of 30 days with immediate effect.

The Sindh home department has imposed a ban on hoisting party flags, banners and wall-chalking or graffiti on private and public property.


The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) administrator said that the hoisting of flags and banners are creating hatred and unrest, leading to violence across the city.

The government has imposed the ban under CrPC Section 144 for a period of 30 days with immediate effect.

Police stations are authorised to register complaints under CrPC Section 195(1)(a) and PPC section 188 against violators of this order.
