‘Land acquisition for NPHP under way’

Process of land acquisition for Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) underway, says minister

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed has said the process of acquisition of land for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) in different cities of the province was underway at a fast pace.

He said this while chairing a meeting of the Punjab Housing Task Force at Lake Road office on Friday. The minister said amendments were being made to the laws of relevant institutions with regard to projects of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

Federal Task Force on Housing Chairman Zaigham Rizvi briefed the meeting about the projects. He also apprised the meeting about the availability of land in the federal capital.

In the meeting, briefings regarding rural housing, liaison with international investors and developers, development of new cities, sustainable building material, 3D design of building and houses were given.
