KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Tuesday directed the Operations additional inspector general to ensure establishment of police desks and to nominate focal persons at all the hospitals across the province.

Talking to a delegation of Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) which called on him, the IGP said that measures by institutions were mandatory to cope with the incidents at the hospitals. He appealed to the people to immediately approach the police desk or the focal persons in case of any incident regarding medical facility at the hospitals. The delegation led by SHCC’s Dr Minhaj Qidwai discussed the recent incident of alleged negligence which took place at a hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The delegation informed the IGP that the process of inspecting the quality of services being provided to the citizens at the hospitals across the province was underway.
