Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Tahir Ehsan, Secretary Board Tariq Wazir, Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) Pardhan Sardar Tara Singh received the pilgrims at Wagah railway station. Later, the pilgrims reached Hassan Abdal from Wagah amid strict security. The main ceremony of Khalsa Janam Din will be held in Gurdwara Panja Hassan Abdal Sahib on April 14.
Pindi to deploy 1,100 policemen for Baisakhi
Speaking on the occasion, group leader Ravinder Singh Khalsa thanked the Pakistan government and the ETPB for making marvelous arrangements for them. He said the Sikh community wanted that a good number of visas should be issued to the community on the 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak so that more pilgrims could participate in the ceremonies.
Chief of Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Sardar Tara Singh said Sikh pilgrims would participate in the main ceremony of Khalsa Janam Din and Baisakhi Mela at Gurdwara Panja Hassan Abdal Sahib on April 14.
