‘Students should maintain balance to excel in life’

President Alvi has recommended that students strike a balance in their curricular and extracurricular activities

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has recommended that students strike a balance in their curricular and extracurricular activities to excel in their life.

He was interacting with students of different schools in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The president said that students have an important role to play in carving out a name for the country in the comity of nations.

Dr Alvi stated that the country will move forward on the path of progress and development with the promotion of education. He said this is a big struggle but expressed the confidence that the country will see an improvement in the field of education with each passing year.

He further said that about 20 million children are out of school and it is our responsibility to bring them into educational institutions. He said enrollment of all children in schools and ensuring that there are no dropouts is one of the government’s priorities, along with introducing latest technology in the education sector.

Moreover, the president added that his goal of entering politics was not to reach the presidency but to make efforts to improve people’s living standards by providing them with better health and education facilities.
