Over a hundred Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) candidates on Wednesday blocked Benazir Bhutto Road to protest against an “out of course” question paper and exam management issues.
They came on the road after appearing in Basic Electronics (BE) test of DAE’s first year examinations, conducted by the Punjab Board of Technical Education. The aggravated students came out of their test centre, Government Higher Secondary School Islamia-IV College Road, at around 3pm, blocked the busy highway and started shouting slogans against the board administration and “uncooperative examination staff”.
They claimed that the question paper they received for the BE exam contained questions related to computer studies, a course exam for which they had already appeared for a few days ago. They claimed that the invigilators forcibly took away their papers saying the exam had been rescheduled on June 27.
