KARACHI: Traders, shopkeepers and residents protested against load-shedding on Zaibunnisa Road in Saddar, blocking traffic on Wednesday. Carrying wooden sticks and chanting slogans against the government and the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the protesters shattered windows of public transport buses. “We are idle at our shop all day because of load-shedding. We only get paid per piece and we fall behind schedule due to load-shedding,” complained a goldsmith factory worker. The protesters later dispersed peacefully.
